Prepay names retitled to reflect top-up values, but 3-to-3 minutes cut

3 yesterday adjusted some of its existing prepay deals to make them clearer for customers.

Stretch 10, formerly known as Stretch 12, gives customers 100 minutes or texts for £10.

In a further bid to avoid customer confusion, Stretch 18, which required £20 top-up for 500 minutes or texts, has been renamed Stretch 20.

A spokeswoman for 3 said the changes had been made in response to customer feedback about prepay. She said: ‘By calling our £10 add-on Stretch 10 instead of Stretch 12 we are aligning our Stretch values with top-up values, making it easier for our customers to understand.’

Prepay customers are still entitled to unlimited free UK voicemail, but the amount of free 3-to-3 minutes has been cut from 300 to 100.
