3's latest Skypephone, the S2, will also double up as a mobile broadband dongle. 

As with the original Skype device, the S2 will allow users to make free Skype to Skype calls, but via a USB cable it can be plugged into a laptop for internet access.

Despite a similar form factor to the original Skypephone, the S2 has no Skype logo on its central button, as 3 looks to highlight the other capabilities of the device, notably its internet browsing capabilities. 

It also comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera, memory capacity of up to 4MB via a MicroSD card and a 2.2" QVGA screen.

The S2 will be available in 3’s stores from 18 August for £69.99 as a prepay device.
