Barclay Communications strikes O2 deal for free calls

Barclay Communications strikes O2 deal for free calls - Mobile news

The dealer has described the agreement as 'unique'

Barclay Communications has finalised a deal with O2 to offer its customers free landline to mobile and free mobile to landline calls.

The O2 centre of excellence and centre of data partner will offer customers free calls to up to 10 landline numbers from their mobile, in what it described as a ‘unique’ deal.

Meanwhile, the fixed-line arm of the Belfast based dealer will be able to offer free landline to mobile calls to its clients.

In April, O2 passed the management of £16m worth of O2 small and medium business (SME) customers to the dealer.

Barclay Communications’ director, Adrian McCourt (pictured), said: ‘Knowing that 50%
of all landline calls are made to mobile phones, we realised our customers could benefit from huge cost savings if they got these calls for free.

‘We had to think outside the box and develop a really fresh offer for our mobile and landline business clients, and what an incentive. This is unheard of in the UK.’
