Excalibur begins selling Vodafone's One Net
Operator allows first indirect partner to start selling converged solution
Excalibur Communications has become Vodafone’s first indirect partner to sell One Net, the operator’s converged solution for SMEs.
Excalibur Communications was announced as a lead partner two months after the launch of One Net in September last year. Eight months later, Vodafone is allowing its first indirect partner to sell the product. Other Premier Partners, which are yet to be announced, will receive training on how to sell the product and will also eventually gain access to sell One Net.
In November, Vodafone said that it was looking for 60% of its revenue to come from the indirect channel, with One Net understood to be a key part of that strategy.
The One Net product allows businesses to integrate their fixed and mobile communications to give one single number.
Excalibur’s first One Net customer, Debco Rentals Ltd, has 14 employees with some working remotely.
Excalibur Communications MD, James Phipps, said: ‘We are very excited to be chosen as the first premier partner in the UK as this is a culmination of a year’s worth of resource that we have put into making sure One Net is a success for the indirect market. Excalibur has the right resources and scalability to successfully sell, implement and support Vodafone One Net to the SME market.’
Vodafone SME sales director, Rob Shardlow, said: ‘Excalibur Communications has been invaluable in shaping the delivery of Vodafone One Net with their insight and expertise in the SME marketplace. Excalibur has helped us deliver a top class service to our customers on the UK’s best network.’
