Salestar strikes Irish distributor supply deal

Salestar strikes Irish distributor supply deal - Mobile news

Salestar provides IT systems to Sigma’s dealers

Software solution company Salestar Connect has pushed into the Irish market by securing a ‘six figure’ deal with Ireland’s largest distributor, Sigma Telecom.

The move to Ireland is the first step in its plans to grow and move overseas where there are strong telecoms markets.

The deal will see Salestar provide IT systems to Sigma’s top dealers.
Sigma has over 100 dealers and has a high street presence in 50 Meteor stores and 23 retail franchise stores.

The two companies worked together on a six month trial before it was rolled out to eight premier partners. The plan is to roll out the system to up to 35 of the top dealers before Christmas.

The initial reaction from the Irish dealers has been positive and Salestar Connect’s chief information officer, Deen Ossman, is keen to continue building a similar client base.

Ossman said: ‘Sigma is very keen and interested to ensure that their dealers flourish.  They want to make certain that they are proficient in their approach.’

As part of the process to secure the deal, Salestar held a two day workshop for the executive management team, members of Meteor and dealers. They then came over to the UK to see the system being used in a live environment.

Salestar Connect has changed its products through a ‘bottom up’ process of development and the company now offers web based solutions for its clients, with tailor made packages for distributors and dealers.

In the UK, Salestar Connect’s clients include Data Select, Elite and Fonehouse.
