Z-Three builds team for UK market assault

Z-Three builds team for UK market assault - Mobile news

Accessories distributor targets UK with new strategy and appointments

Accessories distributor and BlackBerry alliance member Z-Three is targeting the UK market with a new strategy and appointments.

The distributor has appointed a UK and Ireland sales manager, Lara Mcivor, to implement the strategy.

Mcivor, who will join the company at the beginning of August, will report to Z-Three commercial director Philipp Gutzwiller.

Mcivor previously worked in technology POS and digital signage solutions, spanning across various different channels. Her core experience lies in building channels for the sale of products.

Z-Three supplies around 51 countries with mobile accessories, predominantly sourced from BlackBerry. Around 5% of its sales currently come from the UK market, and it is looking to increase that figure following the appointment of Mcivor.

Gutzwiller said: ‘There are a number of opportunities in the retail and corporate channels, and as a distributor we are getting into the right channels. A lot of our competitors have too broad a focus and they cannot supply the services required to sell more complex solutions.’

Z-Three’s strategy revolves around targeting the public sector, corporate organisations and medium sized retailers with BlackBerry accessories and solutions.

Mcivor said: ‘Z-Three have enough skills and expertise for me to come in and start investigating and find a way to get the strategy going, while also watching out for longer term projects.’

In May, Z-Three recruited a new marketing manager, Petra King, to support the launch of the new strategy. Meanwhile, the distributor has added a range of handsfree products from Funkwerk Dabendorf to its portfolio.
