Converged solutions distributor Micro-P is strengthening its unified communications team with the addition of Mark Weaver, who joins as sales manager for communications.
Weaver said his principle task will be to focus on business development. He will oversee a team of specialist account managers who will provide help and assistance to resellers wanting to build their convergence-based solutions business.
He said: 'As well as Samsung, NEC and Panasonic systems we have an excellent range of peripheral products including Plantronics, BT and Konftel.
'I’ve taken time out to examine the market place and quickly established that Micro-P is a company in significant growth. It was clear they were investing considerable time and resources into building the leading communications distribution business.
'Convergence is the core message at Micro-P; it’s a huge selling point across several business units and we have the support and services wrap in place for resellers to grow their business.'
Gavin O’Shea, general manager for communications and networks at Micro-P, said: 'Mark brings many years’ experience of the communications reseller channel with him to Micro-P.
'His product expertise and ability to develop an already highly successful team within our business is second to none and Mark will drive our sales team to deliver our UC strategy to the channel.'
