CCS Insight analyst Ben Wood, pictured here with his

‘It’s a nicely
designed phone – it’s well put together. HTC has a lot of experience there
considering the amount of Android phones it has released. The thing that is most
noticeable is the speed [it has a snapdragon processor]. That approach to
making a smartphone is setting the benchmark for this year.
‘What I am hearing about the device is the other
devices like this coming this year. It is the sweetener product from Google and
they touted them as ‘super phones’ at launch. The story is about disrupting
distribution – it is changing the billing relationship.’
