HTC warns consumers against buying grey Touch Diamonds

HTC warns consumers against buying grey Touch Diamonds - Mobile news

Manufacturer tells consumers not to buy devices from grey traders

HTC has warned consumers not to purchase grey market versions of its new flagship Touch Diamond device.

The Touch Diamond, which will not begin shipping in the UK until the end of the month, is currently being sold by a number of online retailers, including eXpansys for £494.95.

A spokeswoman for HTC said that customers purchasing versions for use in regions outside the UK may not receive 'the full customer experience'.

At the start of May, recent Brightpoint acquisition Hugh Symons Telecom was awarded sole distribution rights for HTC devices in the UK, after the manufacturer ended its relationship with former eXpansys company Portix.
