It is the first time an LG device has been paired with Vodafone, after a deal was brokered when 3 launched five years ago, agreeing that Vodafone would not source LG handsets in exchange for Samsung not supplying 3.
Mobile revealed in April that LG was set to start working with Vodafone.
Samsung’s new flagship device, the Soul, is the manufacturer’s first handset to be available from 3.
The parties involved are welcoming the shift, as it will open up new customers to both manufacturers and both operators.
