LG set for Snapdragon Android phone

LG set for Snapdragon Android phone - Mobile news

The manufacturer will target a 'more mature' audience

LG is working on a new mobile phone that will incorporate the Android operating system and will be based on the powerful Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm.

The manufacturer has said the new design will be ‘more mature’ than the recently released GW620 Eve Android handset, according to the Slashgear website.

Only two other mobile phones that will feature the Snapdragon CPU have been announced so far. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has just been revealed for an imminent launch, while the Acer Liquid A1 handset was the first design to be confirmed as a host.

The new LG phone will initially be launched in Korea early next year, with other territories possibly to follow later. No price details have been revealed as yet.
