LG netbook mainly selling on mobile broadband contracts

LG is expected to bring its first Netbook beyond its exclusive with Phones 4u in the coming weeks, reaching other retail outlets such as Amazon and Carphone Warehouse.

LG which previously did not produce computers extended its range to include the 10 inch Netbook (a pared down laptop for internet browsing, emails and word documents) at the beginning of September.

The Netbook which is available in pink, white and black is now available online at Amazon and is already available in Carphone Warehouse in Ireland.

Jeremy Newing, head of LG UK mobile marketing said: ‘The LG Netbook X110 was the first step into a new market for LG. It has been selling mainly on mobile broadband contracts as it is perfect for surfing the web and catching up with emails on the go. As expected, we’re seeing a healthy seasonal lift in sales with our pink variant in particular proving popular with consumers.’

LG released the Netbook in an attempt to cash in on a booming market. Its stand alone price is around £320.
