ZTE is launching a ‘smartphone-like’ handset to be used by Vodafone.
Known as the Vodafone 545, the new design looks like a smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard, but is in fact a budget handset with a numeric keypad, according to the Gadget Folder website.
The device will have a landscape display and will include EDGE connectivity
and a featured internet browser, likely to be supplied by Opera, as well as Bluetooth to connect wireless accessories such as a headset.
A music and video player plus an FM radio complete the Vodafone 545’s entertainment package.
A 1.3-megapixel camera and a microSD card slot to increase the internal memory are also included.
Release date and price are as yet unknown.
