Carphone slashes prices of BlackBerry PlayBooks

Carphone Warehouse has slashed more than 50% off the prices of its BlackBerry PlayBook tablets, with the 16GB model available for £169, down from £399.

The offer will be available from stores and online until 7 February. The 32GB model is now £199, down from £479, and the 64GB model is £249, down from £559.

Carphone Warehouse CCO Graham Stapleton said: 'The tablet market is growing dramatically and we are working to meet that demand with competitive prices across both our tablet and handset portfolios. The BlackBerry PlayBook has already been extremely popular and we expect with this promotion there will be even more interest.'
