Ormerod joins Santok to head up mobile devices team

Former Dell Europe VP and general manager will be responsible for new propositions and building the business internationally

Mobile accessories manufacturer Santok has hired former Dextra and Caudwell Group MD Mark Ormerod as head of its mobile devices team.

Ormerod joins as MD for the mobile devices wing of the business. In a newly created role, he will be responsible for new propositions and building the business internationally.

He joins most recently from computer manufacturer Dell, where he was VP and general manager for Dell Europe. He was responsible for driving the computer giant’s brand into the European retail channel. Ormerod was previously group MD of the Caudwell Group, the former owners of Phones 4u.

Santok Enterprises’ group MD Jay Pau said: ‘Mark’s remit is to further develop our business and to drive a long-term strategy for new market opportunities. I look forward to working with him on some very exciting upcoming developments.

His knowledge of this environment adds huge value both internally and also to our channel partners.’
