Carphone Warehouse has launched a smartphone stocking filler promotion, offering five prepay handsets priced under £100.
The retailer said it is targeting the estimated 25 million UK consumers who have yet to own a smartphone. It is offering each device in exclusive colours. The phones are the Alcatel OT903, priced from £26.96, the LG L3, priced from £35.96, the BlackBerry 9320, priced from £89.96, the Samsung Galaxy Ace, priced from £71.96, and the Nokia Lumia 610, priced from £71.96.
Graham Stapleton, chief commercial officer at Carphone warehouse, said: 'We have seen smartphone adoption grow exponentially, particularly given the raft of new operating systems that are reaching the market from the major manufacturers. It’s great that, this year, we will be able to offer these products to everyone, with a host of value for money smartphones, so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of having the latest technology.'
