Fonehouse has boosted both its retail and b2b sections with key appointments within its management team.
The retailer has hired Mike Moss as its new retail director. Moss has previously had experience at Asda, Sainsbury’s, Virgin and Specsavers.
Its new commercial director is Mark Noonan, who has had stints at both Virgin and HMV. Both of the new appointments started this week and have been tasked by Fonehouse chairman Clive Bayley with ‘upping’ performance.
Fonehouse has also increased its b2b team from five to eight by taking on new regional account managers, who will be based at its Stoke-on-Trent and Midland offices.
Bayley said: ‘We have made two major appointments and also boosted our b2b focus, which we have already announced.
‘We’ll also be going through our franchise programme with a fine-tooth comb, to see where we can make improvements. We want to make it better for everyone with even better service and products.
‘We’re also looking to acquire more franchises and open new stores although I can’t give you a specific timeline at the moment. However, we’ll be moving quickly on this. This is all part of upping our game and improving performance.'
The latest move follows the appointment in November of former Virgin Megastores and Zavvi Group head Simon Douglas as Fonehouse MD.
