Vodafone quietly selling home masts across all sales divisions - Mobile news

The Femtocells are marketed as 'Vodafone Access Gateway'

Vodafone has made its mini home masts available across all of its sales divisions, one month after their launch on the network.

It is the first operator to sell Femtocells, which it is marketing as ‘Vodafone Access Gateway’.

Customers in store are being offered the choice of buying the device for an upfront price of £160, or a £30 down payment with £10 per month subscription on a 10 month contract. One north London Vodafone staffer claimed his store had sold 20 over the last three weeks.

Offers include a free femtocell with the HTC Magic or Sony Ericsson C510 on 24 month contracts.

However, call centres are offering some customers a more competitive deal of a £100 one-off payment or £5 per month over two years.
