Orange in talks over Comes With Music

Orange in talks over Comes With Music - Mobile news

Nokia may soon secure a second network to sell its music download service

Nokia could be close to securing a second network to sell its music download service.

Orange is understood to be in talks with Nokia to become the second network to sell Comes With Music. No agreement is in place yet but Orange looks likely to follow 3 in selling the service in its stores.

Orange had been the most vocal network in opposing Nokia’s plans to move into music services, stating privately one year ago that they would not take any phones with the service.

An Orange spokesperson said: ‘We are aware that Carphone Warehouse is currently selling Nokia’s Comes With Music prepay and pay-monthly handsets with Orange Sims in their stores. We can confirm that we are having ongoing discussions with Nokia regarding the CWM service; however there is no direct agreement with Nokia at this stage.’

3 is selling the Comes With Music service on the Nokia N95 8GB with 300 minutes and texts for £35 per month.
