Ingram Micro, Brightstar, Brightpoint, I2 and Fone Logistics to go head-to-head

Nokia has revealed the final five distributors competing for its b2b distribution licenses.

Ingram Micro, Brightstar, Brightpoint, I2 and Fone Logistics will all vie for the right to distribute the manufacturers b2b handsets and accessories.

It is not known how many distributors Nokia will appoint, but a spokeswoman said the manufacturer was ‘open minded’ about the final number of partners.

It was initially thought that the b2b partners would be announced when the handset and accessories licenses were awarded last month, but at the time Nokia said that none of the responses met the elements required in the tender process. A spokeswoman said that Nokia hoped to have the process concluded in September.

In July, 20:20, Dextra and Data Select were appointed distribution partners for Nokia’s consumer business.
