O2 poised to unveil new service for business

O2 poised to unveil new service for business - Mobile news

More details to be announced at Mobile’s conference in two weeks

O2 will launch a new service that integrates fixed-line service with a mobile phone later this month.

O2’s head of ‘solutions architects’, Steve Pluta, will outline the new ‘mobile extensions zones’ at Mobile’s conference on IT and mobile convergence on 30 October in London and 4 November in Birmingham.

The new service provides businesses with the option of taking fixed-line services and pricing on to a mobile handset. It will launch in the first three months of next year.

Pluta will be one of the speakers along with Jason Ellis, Orange’s head of data access, and senior people from Vodafone, HTC, HP, Avenir and market research firm GfK.
