Mobile content usage among Orange customers is seeing healthy growth, according to figures the operator released today.
The Orange World portal has 2.64 million monthly users, up 12% from the previous three month period. Existing, as well as new users seem to be looking at more pages with page impressions up by over a third, to 99 million per month.
One of the most popular downloads from the Orange World portal were mobile games. In the three month period 769,000 games were downloaded, an increase of 11%. Music was almost as popular, with the number of tracks downloaded averaging at 250,000 per month. Leona Lewis’s ‘Bleedin’ Love’ alone was downloaded 5,000 during one week.
Mobile TV usage also grew during the quarter, with subscribers spending 87% longer viewing. The most popular channels were Sky Sports and BBC One. Close to a million videos were downloaded during the quarter, with films, babes, sports and adult as the most downloaded categories.
