Orange retail had a record year last year, demonstrating great strength on high street. After joining the network from France Telecom in September 2009, van Gaver led a trial of a multimedia store in Milton Keynes and a community store.   The charming Frenchman was also instrumental in shaping the future of Orange retail by taking on its concession strategy. Orange has concessions in Asda and HMV, with more to be added this year. Van Gaver has driven the network’s first franchise strategy for Orange retail, as well as its strength in the indirect channel. He holds customer experience at the top of the agenda and has made it clear he doesn’t like wastage. He also has heritage in the Group around iPhone globally, including in the UK.
