Denmark has seen the launch of an internet portal enabling small and medium enterprises to negotiate better deals from mobile operators. If the service takes off, the UK could see a similar offering.
SMEs are often paying much higher prices to operators for mobile services than larger corporate and private customers. The newly launched Forhandlingsstyrke.dk – or bargaining power – website, lets SMEs anonymously input their mobile consumption patters after which operators can pitch their best offers to the companies.
The website could significantly reduce the price SMEs currently pay for calls as it cuts out the middle man and gets operators competing against each other for the most attractive offering.
