Phones 4u pushes Sky and Virgin with commissions - Mobile news

Staff are being offered extra incentives to sell the services

Phones 4u is pushing its pilot Sky and Virgin packages by giving extra commissions to staff.

Staff are being offered extra incentives to sell the services with the opportunity to get as much as £12 in commissions on each package they sell. Staff are paid £8 for broadband, £3 for TV and £1 for every extra on top.

The retailer is currently unsure if the service will roll out to 300 plus stores by the end of 2009, as previously thought. It is understood the packages are still being piloted with no concrete plans to extend.

The retailer has now rolled out both Sky and Virgin packages to 61 stores as part of an extended pilot predominantely in stores in the north-west.

Phones 4u originally started selling Sky’s TV, broadband and fixed-line phone packages in six stores in the Midlands during a three-month trial.
