Business development manager Emma Lloyd to take on mobile

Sky has appointed a new head of its mobile TV division.

Emma Lloyd, Sky’s business development manager, will extend her current role to head up the mobile division following Tim Satchell's departure earlier this month.

As business development director, Lloyd will be responsible for Sky’s relationships with mobile network operators, the operation of its existing mobile services and the development of any future activities in mobile content. She will report to Stephen Nuttall, director of Sky’s Commercial Group.

Nuttall said: ‘With the growth of flat-rate data and widespread adoption of more powerful handsets, more customers are using their mobile devices to access sports, news and entertainment than ever before.

‘Emma’s expertise and experience within the mobile sector mean that she is ideally placed to lead Sky’s mobile business.’

Before joining BSkyB in January 2008, Lloyd was managing director of BT Movio, and prior to this she co-founded Livetime, a venture focussing on the mobile data market. Lloyd began her career as a management consulting, specialising in the mobile telecommunications sector.
