Week 40 sees no unified theme amongst the retailers but different focuses across the board, as most retailers await the arrival of new Nokia flagship handset; the N96.

Interestingly O2, who is not to carry the N96, is focusing on broadband deals this week in store.

Student deals step up a notch as the beginning of term draws near. Phones 4u offer £100 of free music on any price plan.

T-Mobile has introduced yet another enticing prepay offer. The network is giving the customer a free Sim card if they top up £5 immediately.

There is also a sprinkled return of the cashback deal in the independent retailers. Phones 4u is offering £100 back on the Samsung U900. The same amount is available back on the Samsung Soul in Carphone Warehouse.
