T-Mobile will change laptop manufacturer after Acer stock shortage

T- Mobile may have to change laptop manufacturer due to Acer stock shortages

The Acer Travel 5320 proved a hit in store and sold much faster than expected. It is understood Acer is unable to provide more than originally ordered by the operator for the price it wants. Now T-Mobile will find another laptop manufacturer to partner.

Acer laptops were brought in as a trial by T-Mobile last month. It was sold as part of a bundle which included a laptop, 200 minutes and unlimited texts with a USB modem stick. The tariff was £30 per month for 24 months.

The new manufacturer is unverified. But T-Mobile is currently running a competition to win a MacBook Air. Customers who buy a prepay phone can enter a competition to win the prize by texting a number from their new prepay handset.
