One week T-Mobile connections freeze at Phones 4u

One week T-Mobile connections freeze at Phones 4u - Mobile news

Retail connection quota reduced in cost cutting measure

T-Mobile connections were suspended in Phones 4u stores for one week recently, after the quota for new connections was reached by the retailer.

It is understood that retail connection quotas from the network were decreased in the first half of the year as a cost cutting measure.

Phones 4u staff were sent a bulletin on 23 June saying not to carry out new connections on T-Mobile.

The retailer started selling the network again one week later on 1 July, after the retailer decreased its range available on T-Mobile.

Staff at Phones 4u reported that they had done limited new connections on T-Mobile due to the preferential bandings or value for money tariffs of other networks. In addition, upgrade availability has been preferential on other tariffs.
