Value of accessory sales lags behind volume increase

Mass merchants' increased volume share in accessories not match by value
Although mass merchants are taking an increased share of the accessories market in terms of volume, the value of accessories sales hasn’t risen as rapidly for them. In terms of volume, mass merchants have over 40% of the market, but in terms of value they only have 24%. Mass merchants’ share of the value of the accessories market is on the rise, however, having climbed from 15% in May last year to 24% in May this year.
