How long has Fusion Mobile been established?
Fusion has been around for six years. We started off as a mobile business and since then have expanded into other areas. O2’s Joined Up product is important to us – we have done more Joined Up landline connections than anyone else.

Where are you based?
Our head office is in Birmingham and we have regional account managers. We operate slightly differently from other companies. The regional account managers win the business and then manage the client moving forward. I think this model is responsible for our 98% customer retention rate. The continuity of service with the account managers works quite well.

How many employees are in the company?
There are six employees.

Which networks do you connect?
We connect Vodafone through Yes Telecom, O2 through Avenir Telecom and Orange through Midland.

What is your typical client profile?
Our average connection size is 28 handsets and we have a target market of between five to 50 connections. We also do corporate and have a client with 800 handsets.

What is your bestselling product?
We have seen increased sales in BlackBerry and obviously the iPhone is popular. BlackBerry sales have gone up by 20% over the last year and it accounts for 80% of our connections that have a data bolt-on. RIM is really strong in supporting the end users, whereas I see the iPhone more as a deal sweetener.

What makes Fusion different from other companies?
We class ourselves as a total BlackBerry provider and are able to offer technical support to IT resellers as well, we are not just about connections.

What handset do you use?
I use the BlackBerry Bold 9700.
