Carphone Warehouse is targeting the newly launched HTC Incredible S at the female market with a major advertising campaign featuring Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding.
The campaign sees Harding ditching her blond locks for newly dyed black hair and a vampy, sophisticated look to promote the matt black HTC Incredible S.
Carphone launched the smartphone in its stores yesterday. It is offering the Incredible S on two-year contracts starting at £30 per month including 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. The handset is also available SIM-free for £499.95.
Graham Stapleton, CCO for Best Buy Europe said: ‘We are very excited to be working with Sarah and HTC to launch this great phone. The Incredible S is the latest in a series of cutting-edge mobiles from HTC and with its perfect combination of high-end style and advanced features is yet another example of why HTC is leading the way in pioneering technology. I’m delighted that The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy will be able to offer such a strong phone exclusively to our customers.’
Other HTC devices expected to launch in the coming weeks include the Desire S smartphone and the HTC Flyer tablet.
O2 joined Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone this week in stocking the smartphone. The device comes with a four-inch Super LCD display, an eight-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, a 720p HD video capture, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 32GB of storage, a 1450mAh battery and Android 2.2 Froyo.
O2 is offering the HTC Incredible S on pay monthly deals that start from £25.53 including a free handset, 300 minutes and unlimited texts. Vodafone’s deal offers a free handset, 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data.
