High-end smartphones drove Phones 4u to post a rise in full year like-for-like sales of 11.9%, with online sales growth particularly strong.
Total sales for December were £121.6m, up 23.3% on 2011 and up 15.8% on a like-for-like basis. Across 2012 as a whole, total sales were up 20.7% and up 11.9% like-for-like. The retailer singled out its web sales with revenue up 47.3% in December and up 73.2% across 2012 as a whole. The growth was largely driven by contract volumes, up 34.8% during December and up 26.8% during the year. The retailer did not reveal any profit figures for the year.
