Shebang seventh in The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100
Shebang has emerged as the top telecoms company of The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 of Britain’s Fastest Growing Technology Companies. The company was ranked seventh in the table.
Despite three years of recession, Shebang has achieved a growth rate of 136.58% over the period. Its revenue has grown from £4.5m in 2006 to around £60m in 2009. The company was founded in 2000 and is based in Daventry. The Sunday Times cited its Sellfone 3G point-of-sale software and its recent deal with Asda among its achievements.
Joe Bennett, sales director at Shebang, said: ‘We are all very proud of this achievement. This recognition by The Sunday Times epitomises the fact that we are a value-added distributor. It shows that there is a clear divide between us and the box shifting delivery style distribution model still used by other distributors and traders.
‘This sets us aside from the traditional distribution channels and we are looking forward to building further on this success,’ added Bennett.
