Azzurri wins £500,000 managed service deal
Azzurri Communications has clinched a £500,000 deal to provide a managed service for Alliance Medical’s entire telecoms estate.

Under the three year contract Azzurri will consolidate Alliance Medical’s voice, data and mobility supplier contracts into one single managed service contract.

Azzurri has promised significant savings by merging the services, estimating a 60% reduction in calls and lines spend, a 50% reduction in data circuit spend and a 30% reduction in the company’s mobile spend.

Alliance Medical will use Azzurri Innovations’ Intelligent Telecoms Expense Management tool. The software as a service (SaaS) tool allows all of Alliance Medical’s fixed line calls, mobile calls and data usage to be processed and billed through it, and viewed and managed through an online portal.

The system can also prevent overseas calling, or to limit individuals’ ability to incur data roaming charges.

Steve Horton, procurement chief at Alliance Medical, said: ‘Alliance Medical is at an exciting time, having acquired a number of companies and recently restructured to provide a platform for growth. As part of that, we took a close look at our ICT spend, and realised we could be operating more efficiently. We looked at a number of suppliers but Azzurri stood out because of their scale and because of the depth of experience they have of delivering effective telecoms managed services.’

Mark Quartermaine, Azzurri CEO, said: ‘Companies who have grown quickly by acquisition will almost always find themselves with duplicate services from different suppliers. Azzurri is skilled in bringing these multiple contracts and numerous supplier arrangements together into one, to make it easy for our customers to gain control of their estates and to make significant cost savings.’
