Genuine Solutions has taken all its staff to a recording studio in Epsom and recorded its own version of Band Aid’s ‘Do They Know it’s Christmas’.
The move was taken partly as a promotional activity, but mainly as a fundraiser for Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, a charity that provides practical and emotional support to terminally ill children and their families.
The recording was done at Skyline Studios, a community based project in Epsom. It took three days to put together, with all the staff recording in the studio and filming on site at Genuine Solutions’ head office on the Barwell Business Park.
Danny Lack, Genuine Solutions’ head of group marketing, said: ‘This Christmas, we wanted to put a promotion together that would not only be fun for our customers, but fun for our staff and provide an end of the year fundraising opportunity. Fingers crossed we will have accomplished all three by the end of next week.’
The full length video was available to download from iTunes from Monday 13th December, with the aim to reach a target of more than 10,000 downloads in a week, creating a large donation for Rainbow Trust and getting as much publicity as possible for the charity by tracking the songs progress in the UK charts.
