Nokia E7 delayed until 2011

Nokia’s E7 smartphone has been delayed until early next year, missing the crucial Christmas period.

The company said the decision to delay launch in the fourth quarter is aimed at giving the ‘best customer experience’.

In quarter three, the manufacturer announced a range of new smartphones based on an upgraded version of the Symbian OS, including the E7.

Nokia's E7 has a four-inch touch screen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and will sell at an estimated retail price of around 495.

The manufacturer is under pressure to regain lost ground after losing smartphone share from Apple, RIM and HTC.
