XLN Telecom chief clinches award

Christian Nellemann, CEO of small business telecoms provider  XLN Telecom, has clinched the Crème de la Crème Outstanding Business Achievement award for 2011.

The judges took into consideration the performance of XLN Telecom under Nellemann’s leadership. The company has this year seen turnover increase from £36m to £54m, profits treble to £12m and a 50% increase in market share over the past two years. Nellemann has also led the XLN management team through a successful secondary buyout.

Simon Burgess, chairman of the panel of judges said: ‘With a turnover in excess of £50 million, a growth of 80% over the last two years and an increase in operating profit of almost 300% over the same period, XLN Telecom is delivering outstanding performance.’

He added: ‘This is Christian Nellemann’s fourth successful venture having been named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 and 2010. Christian demonstrates an ability not only to identify substantial new business opportunities, but also to follow through and deliver relentlessly on the initial vision.’
