Azzurri Communications has fought off stiff competition to clinch a multimillion-pound, five-year deal with Reed Recruitment to provide a unified comms service for its 3,000 employees.
This is Azzurri’s third successive telecoms deal with Reed Recruitment over the past nine years. The contract will see Azzurri aiming to make substantial cost cuts to Reed’s telecoms service using its Intelligent Cloud-Optimised Network (ICON), which aggregates and manages connectivity and services from more than 20 communication providers.
ICON gives a real-time view of application and service performance across all Reed’s networks, including servers, databases, desktop clients or applications, allowing the company to set lower costs, reduce downtime and improve service levels to employees.
Reed Recruitment head of IT services Sean Whetstone said: ‘We challenged the leading UK network and telecoms providers to help us change the game…What Azzurri has provided Reed through their ICON platform is, to me, network nirvana. It offers a business-focused solution to something currently viewed as a technical headache.’
Whetstone said it was the ICON service that proved pivotal to Azzurri securing its third successive contract with Reed Recruitment.
He said: ‘Azzurri has highly skilled, experienced people and they offer best of breed solutions. The missing piece for me was the ability to pull together all their service strands into a business-oriented dashboard with stringent monitoring and guarantees. With ICON, they’ve now done that, and my view is that this is a market first which positions them very well to steal a march on their larger competitors.’
