O2’s new head of partners reveals business plan
O2’s Anton Le Saux has presented a three-year plan to transform the operator’s partners’ division after taking over as head of indirect sales.
The partners’ division comprises dealers and distributors who have been accredited by O2 to market its services and products.
Le Saux did not disclose the full details of the new plan, saying: ‘I have presented a three-year plan into the business, so I am working on putting initiatives in place that will start in the new year and help us deliver against this plan for the future.
‘Putting partners at the heart of our decision making on the shape of their channel means we focus resources, energy and support where it is needed to keep us collectively winning in the market.’
Le Saux also pointed to O2’s Centre of Excellence programme as being key to the success of the channel. He said: ‘The partner programme we run at O2 is a great success – our partners choose us and we have chosen them carefully so that we can offer our customers great deals.
‘We partner because we choose to – we know that small businesses appreciate the local relevance. They trust the advice and guidance they get from our partners, with backup and support from O2.
‘The O2 Centre of Excellence programme sits at the heart of our partner programme, and is for partners that have demonstrated their commitment to building customer trust and loyalty.’
He added: ‘Changes like a partner council and our Marketing Matters events were introduced this year, and are designed to empower our partners, giving them access to experts and skills that O2 can leverage.
‘Our partners have all been on the same journey as us selling joined up communications (fixed and mobile). As we launch new applications and services we will give them the support at the appropriate time to offer these to their customers too.’
