Unified comms provider Communicate Better has taken on Jordan Smith to head up its newly formed telemarketing division.
Smith [pictured] previously worked as a telemarketing manager at Manchester-based IRIS software group and as customer sales manager at TalkTalk Business. His first task is to build a new team. It will focus on lead generation, concentrating on new business and cross-selling opportunities to existing clients.
Communicate Better, which is based in Swinton, Manchester, has experienced rapid growth this year, winning a number of major contracts in the North West including a major unified comms deal with car dealership Hatfields and a vehicle management system deal with North Warwickshire Borough Council.
Last week, it signed a deal with the National Football Museum in Manchester to provide all the communication requirements for fixed line, mobile and IT services, including multiple connections for multimedia services. Voice and data communications will also link more than 50 users across the museum, its Manchester offices and the resource centre in Preston.
Communicate Better CEO Wayne Cartwright said: ‘We have been after Jordan for some time now and are delighted to welcome him to our team. He has more than 10 years’ experience in the telecoms industry and will be responsible for the recruitment and training of telemarketing executives to help further expand and add to the success story of Communicate Better.’ He added that new recruits will not necessarily need previous experience in the unified comms sector.
