Data Select is to launch a white label e-commerce website service initially aimed at the mobile dealer market.
The Slough-based distributor said the service has been launched in response to increasing demand from mobile dealers, MVNOs and other businesses. The service will include the design, development, content management and hosting of mobile dealer websites.
The company said the white label solution offers an end-to-end solution, which frees customers to focus on sales and marketing. The launch follows the successful rollout of Data Select’s first white label website service for big button phone online retailer MatobMobile earlier this year. MatobMobile was bought by Data Select’s parent group Phones International four years ago. The MatobMobile site is fully integrated with Data Select systems, inventory and customer services.
Jason Kemp, Data Select’s marketing director, said: ‘We’re responding to demand from a variety of customers to provide a complete online mobile retail solution. It’s been in development for nine months and we are now in a position to offer it to our partners. We’ve developed a full solution so we can slice and dice to whatever requirements our customers may have.’
Phil Sambrook, business development and operations director, said a variety of potential customers had already expressed interest in the service, including ‘an MVNO, a non-mobile national enterprise and several mobile specialists, all keen to extend their product portfolio and sales channels’. He added that the company had developed a number of commercial white label models to offset the cost of setup.
