Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change Ed Davey congratulated the Genuine Solutions Group on its ‘impressive performance and growth’ at a special ceremony to open its new headquarters recently.
The company officially opened Solutions House in Surbiton, and chose the ceremony to announce that it was now employing more than 100 people.
‘I think the company clearly has got ambitions and is delivering on its plans,’ said Mr Davey.
‘To hear that it is continuing to expand in what are difficult times is particularly heartening.’
Speaking to representatives from the industry and beyond, Mr Davey said that the company was identifying growth opportunities and urged everyone to keep supporting Genuine Solutions as it grew.
‘Whether you are customers or potential customers, then this is the time to be involved with this growing company,’ he said.
The chairman of Genuine Solutions Group, Roger Mills, said that the Secretary of State’s appearance at the opening was a reflection of the company’s status in the industry.
‘I am particularly pleased that someone of the calibre of the Secretary of State has found time to visit and perform the official opening. Particularly pleased because it is a justifiable tribute to everyone here who has worked so hard to make this company successful, and our hopes for even greater success in the future,’ said Mills.
‘From a lounge to this building in just seven years – it is a great story. With the Secretary of State attending this opening it underlines and emphasises the scale of everyone’s hard work,’ he said.
