PMGC Technology Group has launched a mobile device management service which will allow customers to centrally manage and control large-scale deployments of mobile devices.
The proposition is also available as a fully managed service which comes with around the clock support, 365 days a year via an online portal.
The new service will allow companies to manage both company-owned and employee's chosen devices through an integrated cloud-based platform or hosted on-site office service, provided in partnership with AirWatch.
The service allows firms to enforce secure policies over the air that restrict access to sensitive company business applications, documents and databases when employees are using tablets and smartphones. It also ensures that only the latest corporate approved software and applications are in use.
PMGC’s mobile device management service allows the auditing of device contents as well as the locking and erasing of the device remotely if it is lost or stolen. It also generates real-time data, helping on-going management planning and performance reporting.
PMGC CIO Joe Mayhew (pictured) said: ‘The launch of our MDM service is great news for our existing and future business telecoms customers. It will allow them to ensure that corporate information remains secure even if a mobile device is lost or stolen.
‘Aside from the security issues it will also reduce the time burden for IT teams who are responsible for the maintenance and updating of devices.’
