Unified communications provider Communicate Better has bought IT solutions provider SCT Systems for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition is part of the company’s drive for strategic growth through the purchase of complementary services and technology and by broadening its geographical spread of customers.
Communicate Better CEO Wayne Cartwright said: ‘The acquisition consolidates our position as a leading provider of converged solutions across the north west, it provides the opportunity to enhance our IT support services and provide a wider range of fixed line and mobile services to the SCT Systems customer base, many of whom we already work with in a telecommunications capacity.’
Gillian Jackson of SCT Systems said: ‘It was the right time for the company to consider becoming part of a larger organisation, which can help us deliver a wider mix of products to our customers and enhanced customer service levels. Communicate Better provided the right mix, combining a strong brand with an environment where our staff can thrive and deliver ongoing satisfaction to our customers.’
All SCT staff will be staying with the company and will be relocating to the Communicate Better head office in Swinton. The newly merged organisation plans to launch an enhanced cloud based offering to its customer base. The deal also gives the company the ability to provide a fully converged telecommunications package, offering business efficiencies and cost savings.
The company said it is on target to double its turnover by the end of this financial year, which has been achieved through a combination of organic growth and the recent acquisition, helping meet its aim of becoming a £4 million business within four years.
