Coms looks to World for acquisition
Voice over IP specialists Coms plc has signed a deal to buy the database and customers of World Telecom.
The deal will give Coms and extra 50,000 corporate customers from companies including Virgin Atlantic, Xerox, BOC Gases, Thermo Electron, Bank of New York, American Express, British American Tobacco and Rio Tinto. Coms said the base already generates sales of £50,000. The deal will give Coms greater visibility in the blue chip sector, the business added.
In an additional deal, it signed a deal for fully automated telecoms software from Ask Merlin, which it said it will roll out to its partners. Coms added that it expects to make further acquisitions.
