Micro-P has promoted its sales director Paul Bryan to managing director, with former MD Gerry O’Keeffe stepping up to a group MD role.
Bryan has been sales director for the past eight years and will be in charge of a senior team comprising retail director Mike Buley, purchasing director Mark Kahr, mobile director Simon Woodman and commercial director Phil Brown. Bryan said: ‘It gives me great personal pride in stepping up into this role as I have so much respect and admiration for the Micro-P team. We have achieved a great deal together and are well placed for an exciting future.’
Reporting into group MD O’Keeffe, who had been MD of Micro-P for the past four years, will be Bryan, along with the managing directors of Sharptext in Ireland, Go Connect in Benelux, Advent Data in Leeds and Arc Telecom in the Middle East. It has also rebranded its security business Tekdata as Micro-P Security, with sales director Jason Hill stepping up to director.
O’Keeffe said: ‘Paul becoming MD of Micro-P is a natural evolution given his status and influence in the business... Micro-P Group has enjoyed spectacular growth over recent years and we have very clear plans to continue this growth curve, both organically within Micro-P and via acquisition. Paul’s appointment is a key step in creating the structures that will support further growth.’
