Daisy Group has appointed a new chief technology officer, which the company said will drive innovation through its various businesses.
Nathan Marke was formerly chief technology officer at 2e2, which collapsed earlier this year, and also worked as technology and marketing director at Prime Business Solutions. The company said the appointment was in response to how Daisy Group has changed during the past four years through a mixture of acquisitions and organic growth. It now sells a portfolio of data, hosting, mobile, voice and systems products to more than 65,000 customers.
Daisy Group CEO Matthew Riley said: 'As we look to scale our communications portfolio, it was essential we created this role. In Nathan we have got the technical skills and know-how that will enable us to develop our technology strategy and expand our service offering to a much more technology-hungry and demanding customer base.'
Marke added: 'I am joining Daisy at an incredibly exciting time and, having begun my career in telecommunications when VoIP was in its infancy, it feels like I am returning to my roots. Over the past five years I have been working closely with Enterprise customers helping them evolve their software and IT services strategies. I hope to bring this experience to the Daisy team as we seek to make our offerings increasingly relevant to our customers.'
