Daisy Distribution snaps up MoCo

Daisy Distribution is on the hunt for growth after snapping up O2 distributor MoCo.

The Rochester-based company will be integrated into Daisy Distribution and will report into the division's managing director Dave McGinn. Largely an O2 business, MoCo also sells a range of fixed line and data products.

The deal is Daisy Distribution's third major takeover since buying Anglia Telecom Centres in 2009 and Fone Logistics in 2010. MoCo has been trading for the past 27 years. Daisy Group CEO Matthew Riley told Mobile in April that it was on the hunt for large scale acquisitions.

Daisy Distribution MD Dave McGinn said: 'This acquisition shares obvious synergies with Daisy Distribution and provides the opportunity for us to drive further success and growth following our previous purchases.  MoCo has an excellent reputation for delivering high value, high quality business and we feel this complements our current business model.

'It is our intention to grow the MoCo base and allow it to benefit from the systems and infrastructure investment that underpins Daisy Distribution’s partner engagement.'
