Micro-P signs supply deal with digital signage company

Micro-P will supply energy efficient and cost effective alternatives to PC after signing a distribution deal with digital signage company Signagelive.

The proposition, brought together by Signagelive and manufacturer Samsung, aims to replace the traditional computer with a chip inserted inside a Samsung Smart Signage Display. The company said the products use as little as half as much energy as a conventional PC.

Ian Aitken, general manager for the visual business unit at Micro-P, said: 'Micro-P’s sales of signage screens and public display products has doubled over the last year. Micro-P is now the leading UK distributor of such products from Samsung, NEC and LG. Now seems like a great time to increase our portfolio of attach products that accompany and bring the most out of these products. Signagelive unlocks affordable messaging solutions across a range of industries and applications. We see Signagelive as an important new partner that will improve the range and quality of product we can offer to the signage market.’
